This page sets out the mandatory usage rules and technical specifications for the use of the County Durham Pound Partner and County Durham Pound Supporter logos. These guidelines apply to all participating organisations, stakeholders, and third parties that have been granted access to the logos.
Adherence to these guidelines is essential to maintain the integrity and consistent brand identity of the County Durham Pound project and its commitment to maximising social value across the region.
The Partner Logo
The Partner Logo is the logo device for core organisations who have formally committed to the County Durham Pound Project and report their social value using the national TOMs framework.
The Supporter Logo
The Supporter Logo is for organisations, businesses, or community groups who actively endorse the County Durham Pound principles and demonstrate commitment to generating social value locally.
Social Media and Digital Usage
When using the County Durham Pound logo on social media, the primary objective is to clearly communicate your organisation’s commitment to our shared social value agenda – enabled by the County Durham Pound Project.
Hashtag Usage
Always include the primary project hashtag: #CountyDurhamPound or #SocialValue
Handle Tagging
Where possible, tag the official County Durham Pound social media account when posting.

Conditions for Authorised Usage
The County Durham Pound logos & assets may be used by third parties only under the following strict conditions:
- Formal Approval: The user must be a formally recognised Partner or Supporter of the County Durham Pound initiative.
- Contextual Use: The logo & assets must be used solely to promote the user’s connection with the County Durham Pound project and its Social Value objectives.
- No Implied Endorsement: The logo & assets must not be used in a manner that implies endorsement of the user’s specific products, services, or political views by the County Durham Pound or Durham County Council, beyond acknowledging participation in the Social Value initiative.
