The award recognises a public sector organisation that has commissioned or procured a single project or framework and maximised the delivery of social value.

Up against competition from the likes of Mayor of London’s Architecture and Urbanism Framework and Cheshire and Merseyside – Giving People a Voice, County Durham Pound was crowned victorious at the ceremony in London last night (13th June).

County Durham Pound set out to generate opportunities with some of the main objectives being to create more jobs for local people, reduce our impact on the environment and support meaningful training and upskilling.

The Social Value Conference is the leading not-for-profit Social Value event, bringing together experts and practitioners from the public, private and third sectors. The goal of the conference was to facilitate sharing best practices and innovative ideas for Social Value and discuss how organisations across sectors can do ‘good business’.
